Well, I pleased to see that she is an average woman. She's a little thick in the middle and kind of has a rear. I think she wears things that flatter her, but I think that white was a bad choice....she's not getting married and I don't perceive any "innocence" in entering the white house. I would think that a "lively" color: yellow, blue, or purple, would have been a better choice signifying the energy she must have for this new adventure in her life.

um...i liked the outfit for the inauguration. it was a nice change from the more severe suits that the first ladies usually wear. it was a bit sparkly for my taste (considering it was a day event), and the color wasn't that flattering even though i liked the fact that it was unpredictable. the gloves were ok and i wasn't digging the shoes, but overall i liked it.
as for the "ball" dress. i thought it was beautiful. tasteful and flattering.

I totally agree with "the Risdons". :-) I think her outfits are fine. I actually think its silly that the press makes a big deal out of their outfits. The suit dress is nice. The white dress is pretty. That's about as pleasant a thing I can and will say about them! :-) (why no more political comments? I hope it's not b/c of me, if so , I'm sorry.)

I deleted my above comments because they were very rude and I'm sorry. I won't be rude anymore.

No comment on the clothes. I actually haven't noticed much of her wardrobe. I just can't get past her mouth of large teeth. I am a dentist's daughter after all.

Karlye, you're such a spaz. You can be as cranky as you want, I don't mind. I get pretty hostile when the sun isn't shining around my house too. I say you find those comments and re post them. I thought it was funny!

And Cat, I'm with you on the shoes. For reals, were those babies hush puppies or something?!?

Crystal, we Brauns vowed to not talk politics on our blog even before we started it. Totally not a reflection of you. Now fashion...that's another story. Let the comments abound! :)

I think she is beautiful in every way. Hail to the chief, yo!

I liked everything that she wore except for those green shoes. She needed a sassy pair of heels for that dress. Maybe she just didn't want to be taller than her husband??

Hated it with two snaps in a Z formation!

Loved the ballgown. Absolutely fabulous. She looked fresh, feminine, and modern.

This is in direct contrast with the sack she wore to the inaguration. I liked it later with a cardigan (the luncheon, I think).
