Time for the big reveal! It's a ...

The suspense was killing us too! You know, they made us wait in the waiting room for an hour or so? It felt eternal! But soon enough, we got to go back and hear the exciting news that the Wee Little Braun is a tiny baby girl. We couldn't be more excited and I'm so giddy for pink and bows that I can just barely stand myself. And since the girls now outnumber the boys in the Braun house, our blog is going to sport some pink in celebration!

Here's where you folks come in. We're going to need some help coming up with names! Any suggestions anyone? Come on, let's hear them!

I am so excited! I can't wait to pick out some ridiculously, girly little outfit for her. As for names, I have a whole list. I will e-mail them to you and if you need baby name books, I have lots so come on over and take a look.

Okay, I know everybody always suggests their own names, but I'm not suggesting mine. If you wanna use it, fine, just spell it phonetically so that she won't be called Rhea her whole life. Seriously though, if I tell you my fav girl names then you will use them...ooooh! and then our kids can be twinkies! Like I'm having kids anytime soon...okay, here are my fav girl names:
Emma Rose
Charlotte Mary
Ruth Elinor
Amelia Cora
And you know I thought of all of those when I was like 14 years old and playing M.A.S.H. 20 times a day. :)

Did you guys come up with one yet? I'm planning on going through all the girls' clothes this weekend and getting them all washed up and ready for ya guys - including the Janie & Jack ones! I can't wait to get those out again! I bet Dale can't wait as well! hehe

Oh, and names...

Olivia (works for Olivers, too), Sarah, Gemma (my dream name; Steve refuses), Anna, and we like Mirabel (but it's from a Steve Martin novel and you prolly had to be there to like that one).

Remember the lady on You've Got Mail who played Tom Hanks irritating girlfriend before he met Meg Ryan's character? WHAT WAS HER NAME??! I can't remember for the life of me right now, but whatever her name is, (the character's name, that is) that's another name that I love. I remember mentioning it to Dale a while back and he thought I was crazy, so not sure if you'd like it. lol Anyway, anyone remember her name? It's killin' me not remembering it. It's on the tip of my tongue. I do remember, though, that the name reminds me of a lawyer so that would be even more perfect for you guys!!! :)

I was wrong, that characters name is Parker Posey. That's not the one. Although I do like Parker. Posey is hideous though. Anyway, I'm getting distracted... I'm gonna find that name no matter what it takes!!! Pretty sure it was one of those Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movies from the 90s.

Yay for little girls! That is such wonderful news. I am so excited for y'all and jealous too because I love all things pink and hairbows.

Stephanie - do you mean the character's name in the movie? If so, her name is Patricia Eden. But you're right - she's played by Parker Posey.

Stephanie said...

Oh, that's right... Patricia WAS the character's name! Yeah, I got that one mixed up. Not to confuse you more, but that character is also not the name I was thinking of. Confused yet? :) Anyway, I finally found the name... it's Miranda. The name of the book author that was doing the signing at the book shops in that movie, but now that I hear the name again, for some reason it doesn't sound as good as it did a couple weeks ago. That must've just been a weird mood I was in that day. Although, I still like it, but it would be on the bottom of my favorites list. Enough about me... what do you guys like? Did you come up with anything yet?!!

While my brain is working, here are a couple more I like...

Zoe
Chloe
(I would've named my twins that, but Dale forbid me.)
Here's another one that Dale ABSOLUTELY forbids and probably most of America, but I love it. Ya ready? It's kinda crazy!

Eithne
(See if you can figure out how to pronounce THAT one! :)

CONGRATS!! Now Emma will have a roomate for BYU!

Hooray! Can our girls be friends too?
As for names...my two favorite names that Lin absolutely won't go along with are Sylvia and Meena. Tess or Tessa are good too.
Baby girls are the sweetest. I'm so excited for your little family!

Lin said...

YAY!!!! baby girls really are the greatest! i'm soooooo excited for you!!!

Laura Jorgenson said...

Yes!! I love girls! You'll have the most fun ever. As far as a name goes, I can't believe you're even asking. How could it be anything other than Isma Jr. For the love.

Stephanie said...

Hey Tams, I posted the pronunciation on my blog comments for you where you asked about it. :)

I'd give you names, but all my good ones are from books and that's what makes them totally rock to me. The non-book ones are the lame current faves Charlotte and Sophia so I need to change to something more edgy before I have kids myself apparently. Maybe Lavender from Harry Potter. Yeah! Go color names!

I was trying to think of funnies for you but all I came up with was the grand don't of all time. Eva. Haha. Or maybe LeJames, hehee I kill myself.

Congrats! At least someone in this world can produce a girl! I am so excited for you guys and hope that you are feeling well!

Congratulations! Have you thought of Seven? Or maybe Soda? Or how about Gwenevere? Maybe you like Blossom - who could forget that one? Blah!
