Not genealogy brackets this time...

I'm counting down the days. Start doing all your pre-research now so that you're in good position to do all your true research once the brackets are released on Sunday.
Be prepared to submit your final four picks here on this blog starting Monday!!
For every person that guesses all 4 teams correct, we'll post your favorite team's logo on the blog as your prize.

I was hoping you would kind of mix up genealogy brackets and NCAA brackets, with the winner getting their family crest posted on the blog. Or something like that. That would be awesome.

Seriously, though, this is the best sporting event of the year. I can't wait until the brackets are unveiled and I can reclaim my title as bracket prognosticator supreme after a two-year absence. :-) Live in fear, all those who dare question my supremacy!

I hate you Adam. How rude that you picked the #2 seed Lisonbee favorite UCLA to lose first round. WE ARE NOT FRIENDS. Here I was thinking you were part of the family when you are actually our nemesis.

I thought it was obvious, but Michelle has proven me wrong...

Note: The bracket shown in the picture is just some random bracket from 2006 I found online. Those are not my picks or even current picks.

So now Michelle, can we be friends again? I may not pick UCLA all the way though...

And thus we see that two things are true:

1. UCLA is already a presence here on this humble blog... courtesy of the hostess of this fine forum... and win, lose or draw, the Bruin pride will always grace this blog - even though we all know they're going to win (Scroll down to the bottom of the blog, people. It's worth the trip.)

2. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, courtesy of my beautiful sister Michelle. (Please note that if you think her wrath for not choosing UCLA is either feigned or overstated, you are sorely mistaken. It's not just loyalty or love or pride that ties us Lazerbeams to UCLA. It's an obsession...and we revel in it.

You're welcome to join in the love (or face the wrath!!!)

I am VERY excited to fill out my bracket this year!! And yes, I totally got the whole genealogy bracket joke. When Doug and I first got married we had our brackets hanging up in our living room and Doug's friend thought it was our genealogy just hanging on the wall. I mean we love our family and all but......

Did Tamara just refer to her family (the Lisonbees) as the Lazerbeams? Wow. I have two thoughts: (1) that's the funniest thing I've heard all week--I wish my last name had a cool nickname, and (2) Tamara, if you like laserbeams maybe you'll like Star Wars after all. Or maybe I'm thinking of Star Trek. I'm not sure. I get all that stuff mixed up.

I love March Madness but I'm telling you, if I fill out a bracket, my favorite teams will lose. I'm cursed!
