Something is very wrong here.

I went to the library today (e.g. my favorite place on the planet) and came away with nothing. Amidst piles and piles of books, I couldn't find a thing that I wanted to read. So help me out, folks. I need some good suggestions. I don't know if I can take another week of not having a book to read. My brain will rot. Help me!

Have you read Goose Girl by Shannon Hale? My sister recommended it to me but it didn't "look like a book I would read". But, lots of empty time nursing and I gave it a try. I loved it. It's by Shannon Hale (also an LDS author) and it's also part of a triligy. Anyhow, it was fun and easy and I really enjoyed it. But, maybe you've already read it...

How long has it been since you've read Jane Eyre or To Kill a Mockingbird? Two of my favorite classics. Dave and I just finished The Broker by John Grisham, very good, Angels and Demons and all Mary Higgins Clark books - we thought they were all great.

I second the Shannon Hale Goose Girl series, they are so cute and good! The other two books are Enna Burning and River Secrets. Anything by Shannon Hale is great, especially if you like Jane Austen stuff, her Austinland book is fantastic!!
Also if you don't mind the British swearing and F-bomb Sophie Kensella's book "Can you keep a secret" and "Domestic Goddess" are HILARIOUS!!!! Domestic Goddess is even about a lawyer who escapes from her high pressured job to become a house keeper! Seriously so funny!

I just read Tuesdays with Morrie a few weeks ago. It's an easy read that gets you thinking. There were no epiphanies(spelling wrong I know)because of the gospel, but good.

I don't really have a suggestion unless you want textbook suggestions. I'm just jealous that you actually get to read something that you want to read. I'm muddling through Constitutional Law and The History of the English Language.
Well, one book that I would recommend is How to Teach Your Baby to Read by Glen and Janet Doman. I know that the Allen Library has it available. It isn't fiction though so if that is what you are going for then I can't help you. Oh, except maybe The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. Also, non-fiction but really good. (I'm going to Holland this week to see the flowers and I'm also going to see her house so it is on my mind.)
Good luck choosing. Let us all know what you pick.

Read Atonement by Ian McEwan. I hearted it. And I'm going to start reading The Hour I First Believed by...somebody. I don't remember. It's a new release so it my be kind of hard to find at the library. Oh, and anything at all by Laurie Notaro. She's hilarious. If you just want something fun and easy, read Peter and the Starcatchers or The Lightning Thief. If you haven't read The Host by Stephenie Meyer, I would suggest that too. I know, I know. It's more grown up and not as teeny bopper as Twilight (although I do love me some Twilight). :)

You've got to talk to Missy Bailey, she always has great books. I liked the Uglies series and she has a series that has to do with witchcraft and sorcerers. I am reading A Curious Incident with the dog in the night time. I also love Nancy Atherton's Aunt Dimity series.

I forgot to suggest another of my favorites, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. And my blog is amomof3.com since I forgot to put it in my first comment.
