Why we don't hate Scotty P's.

First off, it's not an In-N-Out poser.

Burgers grilled on an open flame. No weird sauces. No copycat red and white decor. And fries, delicious fries, served no where near the vecinity of a styrofoam cup.

What is not to love? Thanks Scotty P's for giving me a tolerable crutch when In-N-Out is far out of reach. Did I mention real ice cream shakes? Mmmmm. Race you there! (Plus if you run there, then the calories you eat don't count!)

Bliss.

Adam has once again proved he is raddest human alive. Guess who he's taking me to see in concert?

And the best part? It was a total surprise. I hadn't even mentioned it. Could I be more excited?

IS MY BLOG STILL ALL MESSED UP LOOKING?

When I pull it up on my screen it's clear but I keep getting emails that it's all cryptic encoded html all up in here. What do I do to fix it?

Easter Weekend...part II

After an awesome Friday at the zoo and hanging out downtown, we weren't sure Saturday could be better...but it was1 Elizabeth was in a fantastic mood.

Why, you ask? Take a close look...

That's right. She's rockin' the bed head. After breakfast, she took a second crack at getting her beauty sleep.

I must say, it was working for her.

So, the secret to day 2 of a happy staycation is lots of naps for the baby. I love how miniature she looks in this tremendous bed. Well, let's not lie. I pretty much love any picture of this kid!

Why I decided to celebrate Good Friday this year...

Because since I'm no longer a lawyer, it actually turned out to be good. We just went to the zoo, but since it was a weekday and Adam was not at work, we decided it was a celebration.

We hung out with the zebras.

Adam introduced her to the elephants.

Elizabeth tried her hand at being the Elephant Whisperer. (She's been working hard on her elephant sounds.)

The elephants were unresponsive.

So she settled for a ride on the back of the bronze elephant statue.

And then a nap just about the time we got to the exhibit where the otter was doing flipturns that would make Michael Phelps jealous. Those little guys are incredible and quite cute, if I may be so bold.

Good news though. She woke up just in time to see what happens to very naughty monkeys.

Both of them sent to the corner. Let that be a lesson to them.

You know, I've never been one who loves the zoo but this one has changed my mind. It's so shady and well designed and the exhibits allow you to get so close to the animals. Plus, a pretty cute little girl who squeals with delight at any animal that moves is a pretty good draw too. Stay tuned. If Good Friday was good, Saturday was great!
